Project Online is a server reconstruction with all functions of the original UbiSoft servers. To be able to play on this server the server address has to be changed. This is possible as follows.

A registry file changes entries in the registry as follows:

As an alternative, you can also download a .exe file that contains not only the changed server address but also the No-CD patch, so that you don't always have to have a CD in the drive when starting up.

If you have the Windows 10 Creators Update, you will need this .exe file instead.

Then you have to replace your original settlershok.exe files with the new files. You can usually find your original settlershok.exe files in the following locations:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Blue Byte\THE SETTLER - HERITAGE OF KINGS - Gold Edition\bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Blue Byte\THE SETTLER - HERITAGE OF KINGS - Gold Edition\extra1\bin
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Blue Byte\THE SETTLER - HERITAGE OF KINGS - Gold Edition\extra2\bin

Falls ihr eine von beiden Varianten ausgeführt habt, könnt ihr Siedler ganz normal starten und euch wie gewohnt zu ubi.com verbinden, müsst euch allerdings zuvor einen neuen Account erstellen. Der CD-Key kann mit SHK-00000… ausgefüllt werden, da er nicht mehr geprüft wird.
